System Status

VanityPass operates with high availability and redundancy.

Status Page

Check real-time system status and incident history at: https://status.vanitypass.com

The status page includes:

  • Current system health (OK, degraded, or down)
  • Incident timeline and resolutions
  • Historical uptime metrics
  • Maintenance windows

SLA & Uptime

VanityPass guarantees 99.9% uptime (SLA) in production. This means:

  • Maximum allowed downtime: ~43 minutes per month
  • Excludes scheduled maintenance (announced 7 days in advance)
  • Excludes customer misconfiguration or external issues

Incident Communication

In the event of a production incident:

  1. Automated alert: Status page updates within 1 minute.
  2. Email notification: Organizations with premium support receive alerts.
  3. In-progress updates: Posted to status page every 15 minutes.
  4. Post-mortem: Published within 24 hours for major incidents.

Maintenance Windows

Scheduled maintenance is announced 7 days in advance on the status page. Maintenance typically occurs:

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 02:00–04:00 UTC
  • Expected impact: none (zero-downtime deployments)

What to Do During Outages

  1. Check the status page to confirm it's not your API key or endpoint.
  2. Retry with exponential backoff (don't spam).
  3. Monitor the incident timeline for updates.
  4. Contact support if the outage exceeds 1 hour.
